National Champion Creates 2015 Giveaway Bike

J&P Cycles has teamed up with Bare Knuckle Choppers to create the “Heartland Hustle,” the J&P Cycles Ultimate Builder Championship Giveaway Bike. ”The Heartland Hustle” features an S&S X-Wedge engine, S&S transmission, Rivera Primo belt drive, Rolling Thunder FXR style chassis, Ride Wright wheels,Metzeler tires, a set of 8″ StrongArm risers and stainless steel Moto-S bars.

The motorcycle will travel the Progressive International Motorcycle Show circuit, where those in attendance can sign up for a chance to win this sizzling hot machine! The Progressive International Motorcycle Shows kick offs in San Mateo, Calif. on Oct. 31 and conclude on Feb. 15 in Chicago, Ill. The winner of the bike will be announced in May of 2015 and will be presented the machine at the J&P Cycles Open House Rally in June of 2015.

The team over at Bare Knuckle Choppers know a thing or two about the J&P Cycles Ultimate Builder Championship as Paul Widman, President of Bare Knuckle Choppers was the 2014 J&P Cycles Ultimate Builder National Champion!

OUR HISTORY GearTrade had its beginnings when skitrade.com was first registered in September of 1998. Since then, the original idea expanded and evolved into its current form. GearTrade was co-founded in June 1999, in Provo, Utah, by a group of outdoor enthusiasts and entrepreneurs who noticed a need for a convenient marketplace for individuals and companies looking to buy and sell used and retail outdoor gear. Moab, BrianHead, and most other places in Utah are great for mountain biking. Provo and Santaquin Canyons have great ice climbing in the winter. Rock climbing is nice with Granite in the Cottonwood Canyons, tough Limestone in American Fork, big walls in Zion National Park, and more Desert Climbs than you can shake your rack at. All in all, we feel that you get more bang for your buck here in Utah. If you're heading out this way, let us know and we'll point you in the right direction. The Climbing Center is the spot for indoor climbing in Knoxville, Tennessee. We offer a variety of climbing options to suit all abilities and ages. We are a full gym complete with bouldering, top ropes, and lead climbing as well as training equipment.

New To Climbing?

On your first visit, you will need to sign a waiver and learn how to belay your climbing partner! The Climbing Center staff will teach you how to tie the appropriate knots, use a belay device, communicate in climbing language and help your partner climb and descend safely. After you learn everything, you’ll be “Belay Certified”.

If you are a minor, your parents will still need to sign a release. You can download the form and bring it with you. We’ll keep it on file for future climbing dates!

TCC Fundamentals Class

The 2nd and 4th Monday of every month, we offer our Fundamentals Class. We cover how to belay, hold types, body position and bouldering. Spend some time experimenting and learn how to climb the wall! 6:00pm – 8:00pm Please call to reserve your space.

Climbing Parties

The Climbing Center is a great place to hold a special event like a birthday party, group outing, scouting event or team building activity. We can rent the gym out to your group for a private event or host a party during gym hours. The First Monday of the month is Ladies Night! Come enjoy a fun night at the gym! IT’s only $11 for a pass and gear rental!

History of the Climbing Center

The Climbing Center was formed in 1997, the first in the area and one of the few in the south at that time. Shortly thereafter, the High School Climbing League was formed, the first in the nation! At the time, climbing was not a “letter sport” so it operated as a club with support from a sponsor. Climbing programs in our area have really grown! Today 15 – 20 high schools are involved with over 250 participants! The “climbing comps” for high school begin in the fall with a weekly practice that culminates with a “final comp” in the spring. Many of these young climbers have gone on to become excellent climbers competing successfully in regional and national climbing competitions.
